Why DRM-X 6.0

Your application stays in control of the customer. DRM-X controls protected delivery.

01

Package once

Publish validated CENC and CBCS outputs with a stable Content ID and single-key or quality-tiered protection.

02

Decide on your server

Check subscription, purchase, course, rental, or live-event access in the backend that already knows the viewer.

03

Sign a bounded session

Select a named policy template or approved custom policy without accepting security settings from the browser.

04

Deliver the native license

Route the device’s opaque DRM challenge and enforce allowed tracks, quality, duration, and output protection.

Broad compatibility

Single Key Protection

One presentation key with a uniform security rule and automatic quality ceiling.

Premium tier control

Multi-key Quality Tiered

Separate AUDIO, SD, HD, and UHD scopes so each tier can require the right security level.

Protection shaped around your business

Start with the viewer experience—not DRM plumbing.

Storage that fits your operation

Start managed. Keep the freedom to use your own cloud.

Multi-DRM questions

Clear answers for business and technical teams.

What is Multi-DRM?

Multi-DRM lets you protect video across different browsers and devices. DRM-X works with Widevine, PlayReady, FairPlay Streaming and WisePlay, using a shared workflow for encryption and playback authorization.

Does DRM-X replace our login, subscription, or LMS?

No. Your backend keeps the customer relationship and entitlement decision. DRM-X receives a trusted Content ID, viewer subject, and policy choice only after your service approves access.

Can DRM-X protect both VOD and live streaming?

Yes. DRM-X 6.0 uses the same playback-session contract for published VOD packages and configured Live DRM channels.

Where can protected media be hosted?

Use managed 1AICLOUD hosting or publish through registered Amazon S3 and Cloudflare R2 storage.
