Common questions
What key-rotation intervals are supported?
The current DRM-X AWS channel configuration accepts intervals starting at 300 seconds. The available interval depends on the packaging integration.
Does DRM-X encode or deliver the live video?
AWS media services perform live encoding and packaging. Your selected CDN delivers encrypted media. DRM-X supplies key exchange and license delivery.
Can I stream in 4K?
Up to 4K is possible on supported device, codec, output, and policy configurations. Qualify the complete playback path before offering that quality.
Are AWS media charges included?
No. AWS encoding, packaging, and CDN charges are separate from the DRM-X account.
Can one app support live and on-demand video?
Yes, where its DRM, player, and device support both package types. Validate seeking, startup, renewal, and error handling for each workflow.
